Segcie Khw (汐止區 ; Xizhi District ), Sibcie
Tøexmiaa
The old name Zuytngr-Khaf (水返跤 ; 水返腳; lit. "water returning foot") refers to the fact that the tide from the Keelung River stops here and goes back to the sea. During Japanese rule, the place name was changed (Jidguo: 汐止 Shiodome, literally "end of tides"), which is the source of the current name.
