Polysyllables that become homonyms after conversion to MLT: Difference between revisions

Some MTL polysyllable words correspond to more than one valid [[POJ]] word. In most cases the original words are two syllables and become homophones after [[tone sandhi]] (the first syllable changes from high or curving-up tone to basic). After conversion from POJ or [[TL]] to MTL, they become homonyms as they share the same spelling.
