• still has 6th tone (light "rising" tone ioong-siorng 陽上聲, pitch 22) that has merged with the 2nd (ym-siorng) and 7th (ioong-khix, basic) tones in general Taiwanese. In TRS, it is marked with the caron (ǎ/ě/ǐ/ǒ/ǔ):
