Taioaan Huo (臺灣府 Taiwan Prefecture; est. 1684 under Fukien Province)

  • In English, Taiwan-fu referred to the prefectural seat, modern-day Tainan
  • In 1887, "Fukien-Taiwan Province" was declared
  • The prefectural seat was temporarily moved to Taipei, but was intended to move to Toatun (now Taichung)
