Taioaan Serng

Taioanserng (臺灣省 Taiwan Province)

• Taioaan island was governed as prefecture (Taioaan-huo) from 1684 until the late 19th century
• After the island was elevated to provincial status, it was officially "Fujian-Taiwan-Province"
• This province was abolished in 1895 at the start of Japanese rule
