Taiwan Prefecture (Taioaan-huo) est. 1684 under Fukien Province (Hokkiexn-serng)
"Fukien-Taiwan-Province" (Hokkiexn Taioanserng) was declared in 1887, but abolished in 1895 due to Japanese rule
