- Tailaam used to be called Taiwan-fu (Template:Tts2) when it was the capital of the island!
- In 1885, the Qing government moved the capital to Toaxtwn 🔊 (大墩; Twa-tun, modern-day Taitiofng).
- That's when the old Taiwan-fu was renamed to Tailaam.
