About 30 short-tone finals are counted in the ''[[Dictionary of Frequently-Used Taiwan Minnan]]'' (62 distinct MTL finals: 29 high-short + 33 low-short).
Almost all non-v-nasalized vowels have a short version, leading to about 30 short finals. About half of v-nasalized vowels can end with ''h'', adding 6 more. See: [[Table of all MLT finals]]
