Taipag (臺北 Taipei) si Taioaan pakpo ee cidee tidhatchi.

Officially founded in 1875 with creation of Taipeh Prefecture.
Was promoted to capital of the island sometime after 1887 and shortly before Japanese rule, which began in 1895.
Tailaam had been the island capital for the previous 200 years.
