Ordinal number (linguistics) in Taiwanese are written in Harnji: 第一, 第二, 第三, etc.

How do I say these?

anzoaan texid 🔊 安全第一
safety first
texji jinzhefng 🔊 第二人稱
second person (the form of a verb used when the subject of a sentence is the audience)
texsvaf kokzex 🔊 第三國際
third world

Only the first two use literary sorji, the rest use colloquial.

Style note

  • te is shortened from tøe
    • Example: tøexid -> texid, also tøe-1, te-1, etc
