Ordinal number (linguistics) in Taiwanese are written in Harnji: 第一, 第二, 第三, etc.
How do I say these?
- anzoaan texid 🔊 安全第一
- safety first
- Template:Tts2 第二人稱
- second person (the form of a verb used when the subject of a sentence is the audience)
- texsvaf kokzex 🔊 第三國際
- third world
Only the first two use literary sorji, the rest use colloquial.
Style note
- te is most properly tøe, but shortened in speech
- Example: tøexid -> texid, also tøe-1, te-1, etc
