	Some MTL polysyllable words correspond to more than one valid [[POJ]] word. ~~This happens because of loss of tone information when MTL~~ syllables ~~are put together to form a word (~~[[tone sandhi]]~~). In general, the word is two syllables, where~~ the first syllable~~'s citation tone is either tone 1 (~~high) or ~~tone 5 (~~curving-up). After conversion from POJ or [[TRS]] to MTL, they become homonyms (same spelling~~, same pronunciation)~~.		Some MTL polysyllable words correspond to more than one valid [[POJ]] word. In most cases the original words are two syllables and become homophones after [[tone sandhi]] (the first syllable changes from high or curving-up tone to basic). After conversion from POJ or [[TRS]] to MTL, they become homonyms as they share the same spelling.
